What would be the most economical way of commuting. Here or my choices ranked in order of preference. Please tell me the viability and cost of each option
1) Rent like a vespa or some moped and just drive myself. Would like this option to be cheaper than a rental car. Is scooter parking available at the Rio and Golden Nugget? Are these things street legal or sidewalk leg? 2) Rent a car. Probably 35 a day. Might be a pain to park and navigate traffic in, plus slightly more expensive. 3) Take Cabs. From the Rio to Golden nugget you think I could do $10 round trips? If so this might be the best options. However, I bet the lines are real long for cabs during the series. 4) Bike or roller blade. This would be the healthiest and cheapest option (well i would have to rent a bike) However, it seems impossible to bike on the sidewalks, and I've seen people doing it in the streets and thought they were crazy. What would you do? |

[/ QUOTE ] Rent a car because it has air conditioning and will likely be cheaper than the cab ride (no way it is $10 round trip) and at the same time the car gives you flexibility. |

Take the city bus. It will pick you up from downtown and then take you down the strip. Get off at Tropicana and walk the rest of the way to the Rio, it isn't that far, just a few blocks. Otherwise, take the city bus to another Harrah's property and then take their intra-casino shuttle over to the Rio. Either way, that's about $4 round trip.

rent a car. no way in hell cabs are $10 round trip, and the cab line is RIDICULOUS during the WSOP. GL waiting 30 minutes for a cab at the Rio.
Also, with Vespa or bicycle, GL with the 100 degree weather. |

However, I'd rent a car if time is worth anything at all to you. Cabs would be my last choice. |

If you can afford to play in the WSOP you can probably afford to rent a cheap car.
