QQ OOP vs. TAG, 150BB deep
Villain is on the nitty side of TAG (17/13). I'm playing TAG as well, but closer to 22/16 this session.
The flop was dry enough that I decided to check/call. Since I've done this, I imagine I should lead the turn? Given that I didn't, is this river a bet/fold, bet/call, or check/call? I decided to bet/fold, since I thought Villain's range to be something like 77-88,TT+ and some other random holdings -- everything but a straight, set, or air will likely just call the river bet, and if he had a set I figure he would have fired the turn as well. Re: QQ OOP vs. TAG, 150BB deep
As played, the river looks to be a fold. I have to guess he called your pre-flop bet with a small PP and has a set or str8.
The flop call is "okay", but I prefer a re-raise. I really don't like the check on the turn. I'd bet just under the pot. I think if you had re-raised the flop or bet the turn you would have taken the hand. If he calls your bets, then you can consider moving to check/call or check/fold mode. |
