Default NL 25, Facing large bet on the river, worth a call??

3rd pair is generally not what I want to call large bets with, but he played rather passively. Am I reaching to make a call here?

It is maybe fine to play 65s in LP by limping. But I will fold to SB's aggression PF.

As played, I fold the River

i fold pf, bet more like $2 on flop, c/c on turn and fold river. villain may be making a move here some of the time, but in my opinion not enough to justify a call.

Thanks for the replies. I think I agree with folding river and maybe betting a bit more on the flop, but I don't understand why you would fold this PF.

I have a SC and position on the SB. We both have large enough stacks so that implied odds dictate that this is worth playing vs. a reasonable size raise right??

hmm... well your hand has more equity against his likely range than i thought so maybe you are right. that said you are something like 1/5 to flop a flush draw or OESD and you can expect to lose quite a bit there when you dont hit it. the return on when you do hit it has to be quite high to justify the extra 3BB. it may be that thought im not sure. i dont make this call because ive read in books and elsewhere not to make a call like this. anyone want to elucidate some more of the odds/thinking involved?
