Tell me about the five best meals of your life

Tell me about the meals you remember as being the best you ever had; the memories of which you cherish. Where the food, the people, the situation, the stage you were at in your life all coalesced together. It probably isn't even about the best food, because you can have wonderful food in a bland environment which means nothing to you; and disastrous food in very special circumstances.

I will post mine once a few people have replied.

maybe we should just start with "the best meal of your life"

for me i think it was the kobe surf and turf tasting menu at craftsteak last year mmmm ... tons of stuff, scallops crab lobster, then 3 or 4 kinds of kobe beef, the sides were sick.. some kind of potato puree, a chowder i think. these nice mushrooms, thai string beans maybe? i dunno it was all fantastic. then dessert was great too which i'm not really into in general. all kinds of sorbet, so flavorful it was like the essence of strawberry, peach, pineapple.. also stuff like bread pudding mmmm cheesecake, torts.. what a place

Camping with my dad when I was like 8, we caught a bunch of bass and my dad cooked them over the campfire with some potatoes. damn, that was soooo good.

I had a burger at whataburger last year drunk as hell, and it was the best hamburger I have ever eaten, it was literally like my mouth was having an orgasm it wa so good. Im sure the alcohol had a lot to do with that, but it doesnt change how amazing it was. Still not as good as the bass tho.

1- Craftsteak in Vegas. Losts of different steak and great sidedishes. I wish I could remember specifics. The Kobe Beef, the Roasted Peppers and the desserts were amazing.

2- Last weekend at Cafe Juanita in Kirkland.

Me: Seared Foie App, Smoked Trout App, Pea Salad with Proscuitto, Lamb and Creme Brulee

Mom: same apps, a fantastic and mindblowing beat salad, amazing morello pasta dish, pine nut tart

Dad: same apps, beat salad, kobe beef, chocoloate souflee.

Everything, especially the salad, was amazing.

3- Oyster Bar near Bellingham Washington.

Great food, but also a breathtaking view. I love this place.

4- The other meal at Cafe Jaunita. I had squab, mom had their signature rabbit, Dad had Fish. Fantastic.

5- Probably the last Chirstmas my folks had in Alaska when we made King Crab legs at home. Jesus those were fantastic.
