The sad truth for check cashouts
The sad truth is, eventually all of the companies who handle the check processing will be flagged and a list compiled. After this happens no bank will be able to process them. I have no idea why the government is going after poker sites. It is the one game that truly requires skill. After all if there were legal live poker rooms people would go there. I don't really see what the government has to lose by letting us play but whatever.
I would strongly suggest using some kind of e-wallet. In fact in my honest opinion I would just quit playing altogether. It is really not worth the hassle. It's ashame what has happened. |

This is complete and utter nonsense
" ... all of the companies who handle the check processing will be flagged and a list compiled"
NO checking services handling cashouts have been threatened, possibly because the UIGE Act does NOT cover cashouts. Even if your "list" were compiled, you might get a check from XYZ Company this week, from ABC Company next week, DEF Company the week thereafter. There are a lot of companies with checking accounts in the United States. Remember, nothing in the UIGE Act remotely touches cashouts, only deposits are addressed. Feel free to quit playing, if that will mean you quit posting. |

Re: The sad truth for check cashouts
I started to write a thoughtful reply filled with stats and coherent reasoning as to why the OP is ignorant of the way checks are processed. Then, I looked up Carl Sagan's bio for an appropriate quote on "billions" and I was diverted by this from Wikipedia:
Carl Sagan was an avid user of marijuana, although he never admitted this publicly during his life. Under the pseudonym "Mr. X", he wrote an essay concerning cannabis smoking in the 1971 book Marihuana Reconsidered, whose editor was Lester Grinspoon. In his essay, Sagan commented that marijuana encouraged some of his works and enhanced experiences. After Sagan's death, Grinspoon disclosed this to Sagan's biographer, Keay Davidson. With the publishing of this biography, Carl Sagan: A Life, in 1999, came much media attention the issue of the use and legalisation of marijuana. |
