Default 3.40\'s vs 3.25s

After recently going almost busto.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...age=0&vc=1

I won't bore you with the details but you can read that if you want. I have really no other way to start building again.

3 + .4 - 10 man SNG's

vs

3 + .25 - 6max

What are some of the pros and cons and what would be the best way to take on rebuilding. I have roughly 50 buyins for both.

I really think the 3.25's would have a harder bubble as there are less chips in play and for the ones that I have played already the blinds are 100/200/25 or 200/400/50 when the 3 handed bubble hit and IMO tougher bubble to abuse.

So any micro grinders have any advice.

I think that the 3.25s can be more profitable if your good at 6max even more profitable than if you're playing the 3.40s. First of all , the rake is more than it should be at the 3.40s if you plan on playing LOTS of these, it i something to consider. Also, there are 10 players to start which makes it harder to ITM, bu then again slightly higher prize.
Something else to consider is how good are you at playing heads up? in 6 max, the biggest MONEY WON jump is when it gets down to 2 players. Heads up is the most critical part of the tourney. Something you have to consider for yourself.

I think if you've got 50 buy-ins at 3.40 then you might as well play the 6.50s if you feel comfortable with your STT strat. There's really no difference in skill level, so that's your best bet for building back up - the 40 cent rake is killer, also.

I started at $5 and built myself up to $150 playing mainly the 6 man's. They are MUCH easier than the 10 mans for me. I just play simple ABC poker using position as much as possible. If I have the lead with 4 left or so, I usually never give it up. Around that time, players have turned really tight and only play back at you when they have a great hand, which makes it easy to make decisions. During the bubble time, I build my stack to a massive size while the other two worry about who is going out first. If I'm not leading, it's still not to hard to double because the others make stupid calls where you are often way ahead. I am a fairly decent HU player, which also makes it profitable to do the 6 man's. Just my experience.
