Villain in the hand is Isaac Haxton, a very creative LAG who came in 2nd at the PCA and is also a 2+2er. He’s been playing pretty aggressively in position which I hear is his MO. Two hands that come to mind that reveal his image are the following:
Hand 1: Haxton raises a limper in position. Limper check/calls two-club flop. Check/check on club turn. Limper checks a third time in a row on a river fourth club, Haxton makes a small value-bet, limper raises all-in for about a pot-sized bet. Haxton tanks and calls and mucks when the guy shows the second nuts with a single club. Hand 2: At 400/800/100, I raise in EP with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] to 2400. Haxton makes it 7000 from the BB and has me covered (though we're both in the top 20 in chips). We both check flop of K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Turn J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Isaac bets 2/3 pot, I call. River K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Isaac shoves for a little more than the pot and shows 25o (no [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) after I fold. OK, now for the hand in question. My stack has gone from 120K to 48K in about two hours or so, but I don’t think Isaac thinks I’m tilting at all. Isaac has me covered by a long shot. With blinds at 800/1600/200, I limp 33 UTG. Isaac makes it 6500 to go from the Button. Blinds fold and I just call planning to check/shove most flops for value. Flop comes K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check, he bets ~9000, I push as planned… |

![]() i have a feeling he's gonna call you down pretty light here. and pretty light means any pair, any spade draw and, hell, maybe even AQ with a spade. |

What's his stack size? For him 33000 to call 68400 pot, if he has over 100K, he probably will call.
You don't represent a King on the flop. IMO, only monster hand (boat) slow plays on that board for c/r. He may put you on flush draw or a pair. Most of his raising ranges will call you. |

I most certainly would play a K this way. Why would I lead out with a K on that board HU against a super aggro player?

What K are you limpcalling UTG w/ OOP vs the chipleader w/ only 30bb's?

[/ QUOTE ] I have a feeling his PF raise size was a little smaller than I indicated, because I remember thinking during the hand that I would have called his PF raise with pretty much all of my UTG limping range. But, to answer your question, KQs... maybe a poorly played KJs. |

But that completely goes against how you said he'd play the flop. You said he's call my CR really light and I know he's c-betting nearly 100% of the time even when he misses.
