Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
Omaha Pot Limit ($1/$2)

My reasoning here, is that he's more likely to bet with something I can call and beat. p.s. Piiop, you approve of the preflop raise? |

Re: Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
Preflop is fine, leading the flop is great. I still be the turn hard as well.
As played on the river, I would lead out and value bet. You'll get alot of check behinds with trips/two pairs and such, and better flushes will still be betting. The only hand I see your river lead getting raised would be the NF, so I think you can lead out for 2/3 and try to get some money. |

Re: Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
Preflop, you could go either way, but with two weak suits you want to clean up, raising's probably best to thin the field. Flop bet's standard.
On the turn, even without a read, it kind of depends on how the games play at the site you're at. If they tend to play kind of TAP/trappy, then a c/c's good. If they're more aggressive, your opponents are more likely to see the flop bet as a simple C-bet and call light before giving up on the turn. If there's a decent chance of this, you want to give yourself a chance to take the pot down when you have a good draw and wouldn't be getting it in too bad against two pair or a set anyway. On the river, I tend to bet out here most of the time, but I think I do it too much to the point that it's a leak. As long as you're mixing up your check/calling and betting frequency fairly well, I don't think it matters much what you do here. |

[/ QUOTE ] Check raise is pretty standard for me here because a lot of players will fire at this turn with a large range thinking that my flop bet was just a c-bet now showing weakness. Also, he is still deep enough (although it's fairly close) to be hesitant to call with too weak of a holding (i.e. pair + NFD or bottom two pair) |

Re: Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
I'd go for a turn CR here trying to win the hand there and then as I don't think your spades are outs. As played -with no reads-I'd bet around $50 on this river and fold to a raise.

Re: Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
My standard play is to fold preflop. If I play it (maybe 1/3) I'm raising.
I will usually bet the turn. Now you can check the river hoping for a bet from a busted wrap draw. |

Re: Turn: bet out, check-call, or check-raise?
You picked up 3 more straight outs on the turn. Check-raise.

You picked up 3 more straight outs on the turn. Check-raise. [/ QUOTE ] But the deuce doesn't complete anything and doesn't give us a huge pot equity with our draw. So why raise when calling is +ev as well? Not like the villain is going "well I'm potting this deuce turn becuase seems like I'm still good and then umm well he raised I guess I must be beat after all I fold". Atleast he shouldn't be betting and then folding. No matter what he calls the flop with and then bets. |
