Re: JJ turn
I hate spots like this, but I hate giving up the initiative as well, especially with the flop this coordinated. I fire at the flop purely for the times it folds out overcards. I freak out and start playing badly if called, though, so who knows...
Also, once you've checked and he's bet like that, I think it's worth considering a raise. ~$65. I basically go after all puny bets like that, though. If he shoves on you I think it's a pretty easy fold. The problem comes if he smooth calls. But in that case it just comes back to the fact that playing JJ OOP in big pots sucks balls. |

Re: JJ turn
reads/aggression would help too. Id definitely lead this flop.

Why did you check the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Probably because he didn't know how he'd respond to a raise. Which brings us back to the question: if you c-bet here and get shoved on, what's the play? |

[ QUOTE ] Why did you check the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Which brings us back to the question: if you c-bet here and get shoved on, what's the play? [/ QUOTE ] It's kinda tough without any reads, but I think most opponents will just call and re-evaluate with TT/99. So I'd put him on QQ-AA, AdKd, which means we're in really bad shape vs his range (14% equity!). |
