Default \'Installment plan\'?

Ive seen the expression 'installment plan', I am sure i know the concept, but just not familiar with the terminology. Searched the forums but couldn't find a definiton. Someone help me out plz?

Pretty sure it's when you have a big hand and want to get it in but don't want to scare your opponent off so you make bets he pretty much has to call. Like say you 3bet with 100BB stacks, and you flop top set and you lead for 3/4 pot, and he calls. So on the turn instead of shoving you make a weak bet that he'll be compelled to call, and then on the river your shove is so small that he can't fold with the hand he called the flop and turn with.
