BB with 33 facing button raiser
$340 MTT at the Trop. 15 left. 9 spots pay. I am new to table but from 1 orbit witnessed, button opens light and spews chips around quite loosly. He just won a big pot with middle pair when opponent showed up with air. Blinds are 400/800/50..Hero has 20K. Vllian has 28K. Folds to button. Button raises to 2000...and doesnt take his eyes off me, staring intently. I have 33 and raise to 8K. He goes into the tank..I call clock after about two minutes and he goes all-in..

Re: BB with 33 facing button raiser
I don't see how you can call here when your a flip at best and at worst screwed. Then again... you're half in... I hate the re-raise I guess in retrospect.
I guess the other question is how is your stack in relation to the other 14 people. |

Re: BB with 33 facing button raiser
Hero ended up calling and the villian showed A5..Hero made a set on the flop and quads on the river (brag)--The point of the post was the post hand action..Villian immediately berated me for a good ten minutes about how terribly I played the hand..I breakdown the hand as follows:
1. I reraised initially because I thought he was weak based on previous action. 2. Still thinking he was weak, and with almost 1/2 my stack committed, I was willing to take a coin flip. Was it really that poorly played by me? What other line could I take? |
