PLO 100, 4 pairs, river makes a straight possible, villain pots
Just starting my second orbit at table, so no reads.

I supose it comes down to wether or not we believe he would bluffbet this with busted hearts.
Now you didn't provide any reads, but if you know that he is unlikely to hold both the str8 and the flushdraw givin his line then I believe its a call as he is morelikely to hold a flushdraw IMO. |

4 pair should be better than a straight. I mean its much more difficult to get and sounds more awesome.
Concerning the actual hand, I'd say its probably fold though. In my experience they usually have you beat and he may have played something like a wrap passively with the flush draw on board, or he may just be a fish calling down with 74xx or have 97xx with a crappy flush draw. If I was playing the hand however I'd probably end up calling and then go [censored] crazy in the chatbox if he showed me something like 74xx |

Could have easily had a wrap with the hand and also a flush draw. But I would think most players would reraise with that big of a draw. I don't want to say you're making a crying call, but I think you are good here against a busted flush draw.

Re: PLO 100, 4 pairs, river makes a straight possible, villain pots
I guess this hand is kind of boring to most of the best posters (no offence to those who replied, I appreciate it).
At the time, my thoughts were that most of the hands I lose to would have either lead or raised before the river. Things like sets, 789x with hearts. 789x with no hearts would be taking an awful risk, but is not impossible. That leaves things like A97x or A74x with the nut flush draw, as pretty much the only hands he could call down with and beat me on the river. Considering he could also have lots of other holdings, I thought the chances that this was a bluff was fairly high, easily the 33% I needed. So I called. I'd really appreciate some comments on this line of thought. |
