Vegas weak-tight games
According to Ed Miller in NLHTAP many 2-5 games in Vegas are weak-tight.
I am asking the more intermediate-advanced regular Vegas players here on the forum your thoughts on this. Are most 2-5 Vegas games weak-tight. I plan hitting the WSOP this july and plan some ring action and will definitely seek out these games. |

Re: Vegas weak-tight games
wouldn't it be better to seek out weak-loose tables?

Re: Vegas weak-tight games
weak tight games are boooooring. there are plenty of weak loose tables that are way more profitable.

Mucked,
There are some weak-tight games, but there are so many 2/5 games to chose from that it's easy to switch tables or, if necessary, switch casinos. |

Re: Vegas weak-tight games
most 2-5 regulars who try to play well end up playing weak tight....Most tourists on the other hand are donkeys and play loose passive. If you play well and play laggish you should have no trouble forcing either of these types of players to make massive mistakes in your favor. You'll get the money playing solid/taggish as well but it's nowhere near as fun

Re: Vegas weak-tight games
Life's too short to mop up weak tight games in Vegas.
There are sooooo many 2/5s in Vegas from which to chose. As was stated before, the weak loose games are the ones to mop up. |

Re: Vegas weak-tight games
Games vary a lot. I'd say games have shifted more towards loose to over-aggressive in general.
I was in a 2-5 at MGM with two major donators who were on tears and picked up about 3k each. Guys would literally call down any bet w/ any pair. Absolute dream game. Other times, players would play overly aggressive, overbetting pots like crazy. A lot of times I've seen 5, 6, 7 times the pot all in bets on flops. Pre flop raises are gigantic. Its best to go later at night, when people are tired or drunk, then just be patient. Dont get fancy, no need to beat these games. |

Most of the players are very loose and straightforward, with some tending more towards passivity and others a bit more aggro. |
