Another Interesting 6-12 CP hand that needs some input
6-12 CP - Hero's regular game.
Hero is MP - UTG+1 limps - Hero Raises K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] All fold to BB (Calling Staion) who calls - UTG+1 (Unknown Player) calls, 3BB PF ($35 actual after rake and JP drop) Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Check to Hero who bets, both BB and UTG+1 call Board = J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Turn= 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Check to Hero who bets, BB calls - UTG+1 string raises - Dealer immediately disallows it - rules it a call - $89 now in pot. Board = J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Turn = 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] River = 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB Checks, UTG+1 bets, Hero = ??? Will post results after a few replies, I'd sure like to hear about your course of action after wierd turn betting - |

i just call the river, he raised (or tried to) when trips hit and in my experience that's never very promising, live.

I don't believe in a full house nor trips so I would definitely raise here.

He raised after there was a bet and a call. There is little chance KK is good here and there is not value in raising with KK, even if you are ahead some percent of time. |

Ok, I guess I'm used to a bit different players online and you can't make that kind of a mistake online. Maybe I shouldn't comment these kinds of hands.

Re: Another Interesting 6-12 CP hand that needs some input
Looks like they are showing a lot of strength here. I would just call. The $6/$12 at Canterbury host a lot of interesting players, and I wouldn't be surprized for him to show down something big here.

Im calling. He might have a five, he might have two pair and not realize he's counterfeitted, he might AJ. The only way to find out is to call.

Re: Another Interesting 6-12 CP hand that needs some input
hypothetical question here: What if the player puts in a valid raise on the turn? Do you call the turn knowing that you will have to call the river? I can see making a crying call on the river for 1 bet, but I'm not sure I like having to call a turn and river with a hand which is probably beat and has only two outs to improve.
