I suck at MSPaint so I wrote some software to MSPaint stuff for me and thought I'd share. Here is a screenshot:
![]() Usage is straight forward. First select a source image. The higher the resolution of the source image, the better (but longer) the paintification results will be. I'll use the venerable pooptoad as an example: ![]() The next step is to pick the colors you want to paint it as. The default colors are shown in the topright scroll list box. You can add/remove colors by using the buttons shown and name your colors by entering something other than "newColor" in the text field. Once you've selected the colors to use ( and a destination to write to ) click PAINTIFY IT! Here is pooptoad with default paintifications. ![]() The next important thing is the block size. This determines how blocky the resultant image will be, as if from using the pencil in paint. So here is pooptoad with default colors and a blockiness of 3. ![]() Ok. So that's the basics. Now how to actually use it. First off, empty the list of colors by clicking the empty button. Now click in 'representative' colors in the source sample. So in pooptoad, that'd probably be a couple of spots of dark brown and light brown spots. Each time you click the source image the sample shows the RGB value of what is selected. To automatically add this to your color list, just click the add button below it. So here is an example of pooptoad with a few representative color samples taken: ![]() Here's some images I've 'painted' using it: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Obviously you can also add your own colors like I did for many of the above. Anyhow, if you want to check it out - here it is. You will need to rightclick->save and run it - you cannot run it from the link. It is written in C# so you will need the .NET runtime which you already have if you have XP. Whatcha think? |

[ QUOTE ]
that's called vectoring, and in no way does that resemble mspaint [/ QUOTE ] It's meant to be a convienant means of creating MS paints from source images, like the hotdog. |

yeah but the whole point of MSPaint around BBV4L is actually using MSPaint and all of it's tools. You either get really crappy things which are hilarious, or really cool crappy things that took a lot of work. THAT's what makes MSPaint so awesome

Dire, who is the chick in the last pic? I find myself strangely, intensely attracted to her.
