Default My first online session in awhile....Sanity Check

Villain is 53/2/1.43 for 50.

My question concerns the river...
It's definately a b, I'm just not sure about the 2nd part.

How do you read villain here? Is this frequently a 2 that decided to let overcards catch or what?

on river I call the raise. this is more than likely an Ace so it is a question of kickers imo. our kicker is mid range. a 53/2 is probably calling your PFR with any ace (at least sooted) and probably isnt 3 jacking any/many of them

i'd probably bet the turn but this is where a read indicating whether he goes to SD regardless or will release a hand UI on the turn helps.

Everyone like the turn check? I'm tempted to fire again here especially OOP because this is exactly the type of guy who would peel with like 67s hoping to pick up a draw on the turn.

Usually b/f turn. Default to this vs. loose players. After this you just c/f river.

When raised on the river, you have to win it about 12% to breakeven. Seems pretty marginal either way and likely a -EV call. His raise is bad with basically any ace but AQ+ so you should expect to see 54, A3, or a 2 here most often.

Do you think a 2 is checking behind on the turn? or 54 calling the flop?

A 2 does check behind the turn sometimes. 54 calls the flop often. The key info is that he checked the turn and then raised an ace river. This information makes both hands more likely.
