blind battle with AA vs big action
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Final Pot: $70 On the river i thought he was bluffing and it was a blind battle so he could be value betting almost any pair here. I was planning on a check raise but i decided to check call and let him bluff the ruver. I check called the turn with the intention of check calling the river too, so i went through with my plan. Would most of you recomend to just keep firing with my AA even though in blind battles liek this i notice that the vilan always tries to muscle me out. And if you do say to the turn, can i call a raise? and on the flop if he raises me do i 3bet him or do i call the riase and try to get a inexpensive show down? And to get back on this exact hand, is this is good and or winning call ????? |

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
I think this depends a lot on reads and how you've been playing your small blind, but with $100, maybe you just sat down?
I play lower levels, but I would have led the turn. Isn't this one situation in which you want the BB to try to muscle you out? What do you think he has? As played, I would have raised the turn and re-evaluated. As played, I would have called the river because a few BB hands just got there. |

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
I play at only 25NL, that's why I make it known when I reply to posts at higher levels. Take it with a grain of salt.

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
This hand smells a lot like 87 or T7.

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
I think this is fine; let him bluff, and the board is as scary as to not warrant a raise.

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
either bet/call or c/r the turn. river c/c is OK but you're gonna feel pretty dirty when he checks behind w/ an overpair or TP

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
I c/r the turn here to like $30 or so.

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
You should not be going for a turn c/r. This board is very dirty to even attempt one.
I would not want to risk giving a a free card. As played you have to call. You played your hand so passively (whether on purpose or by accident) that you have induced a bluff/weak value bet from worse hands. Also his bet is so small. If he had made a PSB you mihgt have a tough decision to make. |

Re: blind battle with AA vs big action
Without reads I want value from a blind battle, I think PSB on the turn and call whatever he raises you. CR is too defensive for the power of our hand HU.
