Default NL100: Extraction with Top 2

Villain is 43/17/0.7 over about 60 hands.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

MP ($95.35)
CO ($151.79)
Hero ($100)
SB ($213.37)
BB ($93)
UTG ($206.20)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5, 2 folds, UTG calls $4.

Flop: ($11.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $9, UTG raises to $18, Hero???

Is everyone 3-betting here? If so, how much? Anyone calling and waiting to try to get it in on the turn? I figure he could have almost any K here, QT, JT, T9, T8, or a set of 2's. What's your plan once you see the raise?

I think I'd make it $40. $32 more to him into an almost $70 pot. If he calls this, it will make it easier to get stacks in, but its not so much of a raise that it will scare him out with weaker hands or draws. Also, if the 2 was red, I'd be willing to flat call this and raise a turn bet. There is too many draws that can come; but imo, there are too many scare cards that can come to kill your action and scare your opponent.

You definately want to raise here, because the board is so drawy. Any spade, Queen or jack and your not going to be able to extract max value. so.. definately raise. I'd make it 55.

Given that you are closing the action, it is heads up and this looks very much like he's on a draw, I will occasionally just call here. Generally I'll raise however.

If you were OOP or not closing the action (ie, multiway) I'd virtually always raise.

If I raise, I'm probably going in. No screwing around with funky bet/pot sizes.

There's to many cards that either kill your hand or action so just shove and rep one of the numerous draws you would play the same way.

If you had ~200bbs+ I would start thinking about calling w/ postion esp against a competent opponent. Take a small risk for a possible huge gain but w/ 100bbs just stick it in and expect to get called by plenty of stuff.
