Tough turn spot somewhat deep
Villain is 29/17/1.2 over about 80 some hands. He seems to have a somewhat sound game, but I think he pays off too easily w/ marginal hands on later streets so I think his hand reading skills great, but seems reasonable.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com MP ($18.50) Hero ($132.25) Button ($24.25) SB ($35.40) BB ($71.85) UTG ($54.35) Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to $2, Button calls $2, 1 fold, BB raises to $6, Hero calls $4, Button calls $4. Flop: ($18.25) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB bets $14, Hero calls $14, Button folds. Turn: ($46.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets $51.85 (All-In), Hero... He usually acts really quickly, but he took a few seconds before firing the flop bet. His turn bet he thought for one or two seconds before shoving. Button is a HUGE fish, I'm ahead like almost always. I've been pwning him pretty hard hitting some hands when I started opening up my 3betting range against him. Most of my stack was built up with his money. He has a very high cbet frequency of about 80+%. I don't have much of a sample for 2nd barrels, but the situation looks like a good candidate. I was spewing a [censored] ton earlier in a previous session about an hour before due to tilt. Not sure how much all these factors he'll consider in firing a 2nd barrel, but I've been playing very well in my new session. |

Re: Tough turn spot somewhat deep
I think noone can tell you what is right or wrong here. I think I would fold here and wait for better spots.. Or did you see him 3-betting a lot? If he 3-bets a lot atm just because he's on tilt or something I'd probably shove flop ;P

Grunch:
Villain doesn't look too aggresive and bet on all streets, even 3-way OOP. This looks like AA or KK. I'm folding. |

Re: Tough turn spot somewhat deep
if villain isn't 3-betting a lot, shouldn't we fold on the flop?

Re: Tough turn spot somewhat deep
unless i have some very strong reads, i'm laying this down almost always. we're only beating JJ and someone who's being very aggressive w/AK suited.

maybe, but maybe he's picking up on the fact that the we've opened up our 3bet range for him.

Re: Tough turn spot somewhat deep
Well, of course he has AA/KK a lot of the times. Are spots like this always all about feel? I figure I should be calling this some % of the time depending on how often he'll fire multiple barrels (is this assumption even true?).

Re: Tough turn spot somewhat deep
I just dont see you being good here that often. When the action goes $2 raise, $2 call, then $6 RR, that small RR size always scares me. Idk though, he might not have seen the cold caller, he might suck at bet sizing or he might have AA and want callers. I dont think people fire multiple barrels that often in RR pots, I think he knows you have a pp and wants the money in there or a draw and wants to charge you. Honestly, if he RR pf to a "normal" amount Id be more willing to felt it.
