Default Suggestions for beginning PL08 player.

Hi!

First of all, I am a HE player( quite successful ), however, I'd like to learn PLO8. My question is, where should I start? Well, I am almost done with the chapter in Super System 2, about O8, but what else do you suggest for a beginning PLO8 player?

I am very sorry, if I am posting this to a wrong section or something. Thanks!

Best regards,
Mario V

Agreed. There is a lot of good information in this forum for getting the hang of both O8 and PLO8.

Learn limit before playing PL, just like HE.

This is mediocre advice, just like it is in Holdem. The PL and Limit versions of each are much different beasts IMHO. I would say that there are many hands that play very differently in PLO8 versus Limit O8.

The discussion here lately hasn't been fantastic in my opinion (especially for PL), but there is plenty to learn in the Archives from looking at posts of Wintermute, gergery, ribbo, Big Dave D, Buzz (mostly for limit, but he has pretty good mathematical analysis of many situations), and a few others. A couple of Wintermute's posts also list other good posters to look for.
