Re: KQ in BB vs Roothlus
This must be his range:
equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 51.558% 48.61% 02.95% 2343637 142266.00 { KQs } Hand 1: 48.442% 45.49% 02.95% 2193442 142266.00 { 66+, A4s+, K8s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T9s, A9o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo } to make it a good push. I think. Is he raising preflop with a range that wide (20%)? |

Payout step? etc..... And your analysis doesn't account for FE. This hand sucks, its such an easy push. |

I also can't see these figures being correct. I'm pretty sure I'm loving it if he raise/ calls with the range that you're assigning him but the fact is that he's raise folding a lot here. Given our stack, calling is somewhat icky OOP and we need to be calling a shove (most unhappily) if we raise, so pushing here seems pretty standard. We're stuffed by his calling range, but he's not calling often enough for that to be the main issue. |

Well, I got the discussion going. I had a feeling I was wrong.

Re: KQ in BB vs Roothlus
Yea you guys are right this hand is pretty standard but I was just trying to make sure I made the right move. First I was thinking about smooth calling but as registrar said I was gonna be OOP. And re-raising smaller amount is terrible cause it commits me to the pot

Re: KQ in BB vs Roothlus
I think Roothlus is one of those players who has made an adjustment to not raise as light in late position, especially if there are aggressivep layers on the blinds. That being said you do have a pretty strong hand and the play is prboably fine, but for 22xBB it's probably not as great a spot as it seems.

Re: KQ in BB vs Roothlus
I find KQ to be a real trouble hand vs a tight player like rooth, because I know he doesnt open up his game from TAG very much until a few more blind levels.
am I too tight for just folding this? |
