i figured UTG was on a flush draw again this time or something like 9J i betted out too find out where i was at assuming any better J would of raised me with this in mind should i have betted the turn ? on the river i would have put CO on something like 89 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com CO (t3555) Button (t1630) Hero (t1875) BB (t2415) UTG (t2025) UTG+1 (t2980) MP1 (t4195) MP2 (t1450) MP3 (t3965) Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls t100, 4 folds, CO calls t100, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (t400) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets t200, BB folds, UTG calls t200, CO calls t200. Turn: (t1000) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks. River: (t1000) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets t400, UTG calls t400, CO raises to t1100, Hero ?? Final Pot: t2900 |

Re: what should i have done...
I think you should lead for more on the flop, if you're going to lead and lead for more on the river, if you're going to lead. Personally, I'd bet 300+ on the flop and check the turn with two callers for sure, occasionally bet with one, probably check-call the river, either way.

Re: what should i have done...
Looks like that 8 helped the CO and he is making a valuebet. I would have probably bet about 300 on the flop to price out some draws. Turn check is fine. I don't know if CO makes that river raise with anything that we beat. A weak queen would probably just call. I could also see CO having T9 and checking the turn to disguise his hand a little more.
Edit: Your river bet is too small too. Looks like a scared bet to get away cheaply from. I'd probably just check/call a small(ish) bet, or check/fold a larger bet. |

Anyone like check/evaluate on the flop?

Anyone like check/evaluate on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Does checking really tell us anything? 2 hearts could bet, a better/worse Jack, A8 maybe... I think there are more hands that would bet than would call a bet. |

Anyone like check/evaluate on the flop? [/ QUOTE ] If I think im gonna get a bet from A8/K8, checking the flop might intice me to check/raise the turn possibly the flop. Queen is kinda tricky on the turn though. I'm not really sure what I would do when that peels off. As far as what I think your opponent's raise represents, I would probably say Q-9s could make that raise, and i'm probably making a crying call online and folding live. |

Re: what should i have done...
I'd either check/evaluate this flop or make a bigger bet closer to the size of the pot.
