Default $50 NL - flopped OESFD, bet it?

I don't normally limp too much preflop, this was an exception due to table dynamics. Anyway, good flop for this hand. It's checked to me on the button. Doesn't look like anyone's got very much. Do I bet it and take down the blinds, or check and try to hit my hand (50% to do so), and try to get some value from a bigger pot?

Hero bets $1.50
gizmos666 folds
ArcangelNo1 folds
Logik folds
Taking Rake of $0.10 from pot 1
Hero doesn't show
Hero wins $1.90

Seems a bit of a waste of a big hand.

Big hands want to play big pots. You can not play said big pots w/o making them, therefore, bet the damn thing and try and bet/3-bet it. What else are you looking for? Do you also check sets and such? Tsk tsk....

I do sometimes check sets if I think it's unlikely that anyone else has got much of anything. There's an article by Sklansky about it here: http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/c...ansky0407.html

On this board, and since the pot is unraised, I think anyone with a King would bet it, and it's likely that anyone without a King (i.e. everyone) will fold to a bet because they'll think I have it. So I'm thinking why not let a card come off that might make my hand and give someone else a little piece of it, giving me the chance to win a pot that's worth winning.
