Default Vegas May 5-9

Heading to Vegas May 5th with a buddy. He was supposed to get married that day but his fiance walked out about 2 months ago. We are staying at Aladdin (I have a conference the 7th to 9th there). We want to play 1/2 and 2/5 NL. We were going to do Bellagio, Wynn, Mirage, MGM and the new room at Aladdin. From what I have read these seem to be good choices but if I am missing rooms or including a bad one can you let me know. We are both very competent players but not great by any means.

We are looking to do quite a bit of partying after poker and don't have a clue where to go. We are looking for young single drunk women. Is Cinco De Mayo is a big party day? We were each going to bring about $2,500 for gambling and partying. How good of a time can we have on this budget for 4 nights?

Any and all help appreciated. I want my buddy to be glad he is single when he leaves.

2500 should be good, but id definitely spit your gambling and partying roll.

bellagio wynn and mirage are all very nice rooms, but they have some moderately stiff competition.

the mgm is pretty soft, as are a few other rooms on the south end of the strip. i've heard the luxor and excalibur are pretty juicy, though the rooms aren't very nice.

i played at mgm and bally's... mgm was very nice, bally's not that nice. both had soft competition.

as for drunk, single ladies... they are all over vegas in any of the clubs.

also, the hard rock's casino and pool have what you are looking for.

This may be true of all the clubs, but if you are playing at the MGM at 2am when they close Studio 54, there is an event I call "The Parade of the Drunken Hotties" as they sweep everyone out of the club. Targets of opportunity abound that have been pre-oiled, so to speak. At the same time, they have chosen to not hook up with anyone in the club so proceed at your own peril. But that looks to be a good time to be on the troll for tail. Two dealers have confirmed this as a good strategy. I've been married to the same person for 25 yrs.+ and intend to stay that way so I am allowed to look at the menu, but I cannot order. My diet in this area has been severely restricted for both health and financial reasons! Good luck and happy hunting for your buddy.

I'll be playing there during that time too. Probably at MGM and Luxor the most, I feel most comfortable in those rooms and the games are soft and fun, with good drink service.

I can attest to watching all the drunk girls spill out of Studio 54. Except for the one time some chick came out on a stretcher. Yikes.

Check out www.allvegaspoker.com for info on the rooms themselves and tournies. It's a great resource.

Hope he got the ring back and sold it for hooker/stripper cash.

If you want to see a skank parade from a club, I can think of no better place than a table on the rail in the Wynn poker room. The entrance to the parking garage is right next to it, so it's usually quite a show. Be sure to get a seat facing the hallway.
