Default How do you think about the future of PLO?

Hi, I'm not sure this thread is compatible for this forum.
Anyway, I'm a SSNLHE player who consider switching to PLO.
After reading some books about PLO and deep comtemplation, I found that PLO is more lucrative than NLHE.
The problem is I'm not quite sure if PLO will be more popular in online.
I want to hear your opinion.
P.S) Mark Vos, a FTP pro, said there will be 500/1000 PLO after 2007 WSOP.

I did about the same as you.

Start out small and read up. My $/hr. are about twice as much for Omaha as for Holdem. Beware, it is a crazy game with big swings that makes my head hurt with all the computation sometimes. But it is a lot of fun.

This is going to depend HEAVILY on two things:

1) 6-max tables being available
2) Min buy-in being 40bb or higher

Both, of course, have to do with keeping shortstackers out of the way. I honestly think that they are the biggest threat to PLO cash games (thank god for stars implementing 6-max).

I don't see the worry. Full table PLO is dead, ganz tot. The two biggest sites are FT and Stars, right? Well look at what happens when people are giving the free choice between 6 max and FR.

thats just the same as hold em tho isnt it?? i think people prefer 6 handed in general as its more of an action game. 10 seaters in all forms get bogged down with nut peddlers
