Default Pushbot charts Discussion

So I finally got around to looking at the pushbot charts, I have no idea why I haven't before. What Im wondering is how much do you guys use this for MTTs and how closely do you go by it. I realize its not the same if you arent the smallest stack at the table just as it would change depending on whether you are on the bubble or just past it. Also how you are percieved by the table would affect it as well. I think one of my leaks might be pushing a little light or early. What do you think of these two? According to the charts they are both folds regardless of how tight the table is.

I like Hand one a lot more, because you need to take some gamble in order to catch the chipleader(s).

In the second hand you`re not that far behind, cuz blinds are high AND your hand is pretty weak (not sooooted...lol).

are we really pushing K10 utg with 10bb? seems a bit extreme although is it that our stack although small is such a big percentage of theirs that they need a pretty premium hand to call? OP could you put a link for the charts please, i'd be interested to study them, thanks.

I think both of these are really close.

Hand 2 is definitely better than hand 1, especially if hand 1 is without antes. I don't know why everyone is saying the opposite.

Utg, yes, but we are six handed in both.
Thus, we can consider ourselves in mp

1 i push
2 i fold

Exactly. It's about the number of players to act behind us, not if we are first or second to go.

As for the pushbot charts, they are absolutely accurate assuming the appropriate hand ranges for villain's. However, these may or may not always be accurate. So one probably needs to make slight mental adjustments. Beyond that, the pushbot charts only tell you if pushing is -EV or +EV. They don't tell if it is the MOST EV. NLHTP has a whole section in the Sklansky-Chubukov chapter about how even if pushing is +EV, it might not be the most +EV. Other plays might work better. This also needs to be considered for the pushbot charts.
