Is this play any better or worse if its in a 5-table SNG versus a 1-table? |

Re: Big draw with 75d for all my chips??
You should have folded preflop.
Raising with a 7 high from early position will almost always get you into trouble......like what happened here. |

What if I only make that raise in that spot 20% of the time?

Re: Big draw with 75d for all my chips??
You're calling 1200 for 1800 - I mean mathwise vs a 6s donk you're looking at a range that you can probably call that against I guess.
THIS is why you shouldn't be raising 5d7d from early position. If you do, raise to less. If you want to "metagame" (haha) this SNG by raising more often early on to "set up an image" than find better situations. 6d7d is much better than the one gapper. 75 or 90 is better than 120. Middle or late position is better. etc... Honestly I fold this here - even though we may have the best hand or at least be making a mathmatically correct call here. Its not like the competition is all that tough. 1200 is MORE than enough to maneuver better spots for your $ at this point. If you were - for some reason - in a tough game and felt nervous about the competition, then, yea, I probably call here I guess. Then again - if it were a tough game - this guy's shoving range would be tighter and folding would be more prudent. |

The raise is OK in a cash game or in an MTT with deep money, particularly if you are going to be playing the same players in the future. Even there, you are usually better off making a small raise if you are going to raise. |
