Default A on the turn....

Villain has been attacking the blinds, I suspect I'll get pounded on for the flop donk but I didn't want things checking through or for SB to c/r me out....

Given that BTN calls the turn bet after an A falls what's my river line? Still b/f?

Standard b/f unless you have a specific read.

both your reasons for the flop donk are terrible. this is checking through like never and that other thing about SB c/ring makes no sense. consequently, your flop donk is terrible.

it's hard to put button on much of anything. he can't (and won't) call a river bet with anything you beat, but he might bluff with KQ or something, so i c/c.

meh ... i don't think the flop donk is so bad (this hand looks hard to play)

if you check BTN will be betting about 99.99% of the time - if SB calls you certainly can't raise
If you lead out this shows SB that you have some kind of hand and if BTN just calls he may not peel light (it's also possible that an aggressive stealer might raise overs too)

as for the river decision: what hands do you think this guy is going to call you with after you bet both the turn and river (with the ace on board)
I think it's much better to c.c here - he'll probablly bet a couple or worse hand more than he'll call with

c.r flop! ... even if btn calls ...
I would probably need some info on SB (given that OP said he's doesn't want him to c.r himself - I guess villain is a little aggro ... if he just calls, he might be setting up for something on the turn or he has overcards)

do we have enough equity to c.r two guys?

hmmm ...

looking at it ...

the field has like 4 to 12 outs against us ... plus we have a bonus magic card (Mr. Jack! ... guess this would make up for the time BTN has like TT)

so yeah - i guess i change my mind about a flop check raise (me likes)

though - I still think this is a sticky situation

OP ... how about you do some stoving with likely hand ranges, and see how TUFF hero's holding is

I'm down with the flop check/raise. You are probably infront of both players and it would be nice to get 2 sb off sb to chase his draw.

A question though... if you c/r the flop and lead the turn, do you still feel like the villan will often bet a worse hand on the river. I think if you take that line you will have to bet/fold the river, simply because if you show that much strength, villan will only be betting his better hands on the river when checked too. i.e. I can't see him betting K-High if you take a c/r, bet, check line.
