Default Foxwoods 1/2 live hand QQ whats the best line here?

1/2 live game at foxwoods
villian has 500 I cover.

Table is actully playing pretty tight for a 1/2 table villian is "solid" for a 1/2 player I have played with him before and know he is a winning player.

Ive been pretty tight have won a couple of huge pots with good hands.

Villian knows im playing tight I havent seen him 3 bet preflop yet.

Im UTG+2 with QQ I open raise to 15 folds to villian in the CO who raises to 45.
I flat call.
Flop is 993 dry board

I check villian bets 50
I think for awhile and call.
Turn is another 9
Hero?

I know this is a way ahead or way behind situation. I pretty much put villian on AA KK AK and a remote possibility of JJ.

What is line on turn? check hoping for check behind?
check/call?
C/r?

If you bet AK folds and AA/KK call or raise. If you are determined to get to the showdown check and call down.

Note that if he fires both turn and river he has you beat if he is solid as you say.

yeah that was my thinking too, I did want to get to showdown.

Turn action went check check

Ace rolled off on the river and I check folded to a 75 dollar bet thinking there wasnt anything I could beat and villian kindly showed me AK.

But looking back it bothers me that I lost a big pot here.
I had intended to check call just about any size bet on the river unless an A or K rolled off.

Not to be result oreintated but was my line opitmal?
Or should I have c/r'd or bet out at some point in the hand as I would have def. taken it down.

Yeah as far as the flop goes leading out or c/r will define your hand if he is a solid player as you say. However, many people at that level would call the flop hoping to catch an A or K though so you still won't know if he is slowplaying AA or being a donkey.

Because of this I would say you would have to trust your read at the table.

I really don't like check-calling this flop. You are beating AK only, which has 6 outs twice against you AND position. You are playing a dangerous game because it is likely that you are going to have to call at least 1 more bet when you are behind and you aren't going to get any more money in when you are ahead unless he decides to bluff.

If you are both truly playing solid (ie, you open in EP and are solid, he knows this and decided to 3bet anyway), you should probably be set mining this flop or trying to get some hand definition by 4-betting preflop. And by getting hand definition I mean folding to a 5bet or not putting more money in if your 4bet is called.

All of what I've said here is pretty weak-tight, but we're deep stacked and out of position against a solid player. QQ doesn't seem to be worth much here.
