Default push or limp

ok heres the situation..The hand before i doubled up to 12,600 with kings so with the blinds at SB600 BB1200,, my M is 7 so it is low but maybe i could have waited anouther round or 2 of the table to see what comes..Anyway i am dealt pocket 88 UTG and make it 3600 to go double the pot..he flat calls and the flop comes 27J..Now here's where i screw up i bet out 3500 and he pushes all in..I have him covered by just 1500 chips if i call..i think i am ahead but for some crazy reason folded the hand face up...he showed AQ which is one of the hands i put him on but chickend out of the race...After my bets though my stack is desperate with the blinds due to go up in 4 min's....should i have pushed with the 88 pre flop all in or limped preflop ,checked the flop and folded to the raise that way i would not have been so short stacked... with a middle of the road hand out of postion?????

Over half your stack committed, easy call. On that flop, at your M, this is not even a question. Shove that [censored] PF. If you play this hand, its either 2x or bust. Vigorish. Gambooollll.

shove pf.

your fold on the flop is horrible. Villain could have 33-66/88/AK/AQ. Villain should not have a jack if he is calling 30% of his stack preflop.

post in MTT fourm (not community) without results in the future.
