3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
Villain is like 15/6 or something over a smallish sample. I think his range is kinda narrowish by the river.
I'm running ~19/10 but not getting to out of line. If he's paying attention the only big pot I've played I got it in w/ the goods. What do people think of the bet sizing as well as the bets themselves? Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
Stars NL400 may be different and you may be needing to 3-barrell folks, I don't know.
But I probably would only do it to regulars who I know can fold and float 2 streets, not to near-unknowns. Other than that I like the bet sizes. |

Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
Do you 3 barrel with AA-JJ here? Most people (at least on the levels I play) will pot control one street OOP. I'd bet more on flop, more on turn, river looks fine. If you're also not 3 barreling marginals, it's going to polarize your range against a thinking opponent, which is the only question I have when you do this.

Fonkey brings up a good point.
Also, you do 3barrell sets here, right? So that's what you're repping... |

Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
looks good but I personally might give up on the river here, because a nit like that usually has a pretty good hand if he is calling your turn bet >AQ

check-fold flop.
or give up after the flop bluff doesn't work. I hate this play. |

Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
if im going to bluff this guy on the turn, I'm going to check raise. You have to appear to mean more business in these cutoff vs button confrontations, otherwise he's going to make an easy calldown with Qx or a draw. If you checkraise, you probably will fold out AQ and maybe even an overpair.

Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
also, fwiw, a good player in your spot is going to be checking the river here quite a bit with big hands, thereby decreasing the credibility of your bet even more.

Re: 3 barrels v tightish guy 2/4
I get myself in these situations all the time OOP, villian seems tight enough to have folded any week hand/or draw by the turn bet I dont think river bet gets a fold very often, dont think its spew but unless villian ever folds AQ, KQ here then I dont think it works very often.
I hate just c/f in these spots but I guess you have to right? This is pretty much where I lose alot of BBs in my game as well. |
