Short Volume ?
How would I be best able to access current short volume and price points on individual stocks? I have recently been taking on a more active trading posture and feel this data to be useful in such a volatile market.
Am willing to subscribe to a pay service if necessary but it seems like this info should be readily available for free even though I am having trouble locating it. Jimbo |

Running total of UpVolume and DownVolume
A running total of the intra-session differences between trade on the ask and trade on the bid will give you an indication of the current balance of long or short trade in almost any instrument (stock, future or option) with high liquididty.
This balance is much more important than just the short interest. |
