Combo draw on the button (400nl)
6max 400nl 6 handed.
Effective stacks $400 UTG is unknown and hasnt been at the table long but hasnt done anything retarded yet. SB is a pretty weak player, not particularly bluffy just a bit loose and generally bad. Preflop: I'm OTB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $14, 2 calls, I call, SB calls, BB calls. Amazing table. Flop [$54]: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB bets $54 pretty much instantly, folds around to me... So how good is my hand looking? what is this guy donking into that many people with, and is raising here really correct? I think his range has to be largely bigger flushes and sets, or am I giving him way too much credit? |

Re: Combo draw on the button (400nl)
i would generally call with position. i dont think you have any FE if you raise/call a shove.

i would generally call with position. i dont think you have any FE if you raise/call a shove. [/ QUOTE ] i wouldn't go as far as saying i dont think you have ANY fold equity, but i think it's a lot lower than normal places where it would make it profitable to raise with combo draws however, what's your image i think i can often squeeze out a thin fold if i'm nitty enough |

Re: Combo draw on the button (400nl)
i think this is a call and not particularly close. closer to a fold than a raise. Player described is not folding (in my mind 'weak' means he has a pretty strong hand to pot the flop into everyone, and 'a little too loose' means he's not making any big folds once he's done that), and you only have 12 outs. 15 outer I think raise/get it in and call/get there are both valid; I'd usually gambool.

Re: Combo draw on the button (400nl)
My image is pretty aggro - Ive built a $900 stack in about 45 min at the table but most of my hands havent seen showdown with my opponents folding before the river, so I dont think I have an image conducive to a lot of FE here.
weak player - meaning strong hand to get into the pot there and not being likely to make any big folds sounds about right for this guy. I did just call but was checking this wasnt horrible, Im worried about playing scared seeing as Im only playing 400nl recently. |

Re: Combo draw on the button (400nl)
nah i don't think this is a weak call,
you can often bluff and take away on the turn sometimes even if you don't raise on the flop, specially if the turn is a scare card/gives you more outs |

Ok so I call, turn comes 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and he checks to me. Take the card?

Re: Combo draw on the button (400nl)
shouldnt we bet here ? if he's a weak player its unlikely he'll push you off. And i think you have to bet here if you wanna take the pot on the river when you miss.
