New to showing down A hi
villain is 34/20/0.9 over 50 hands probably at this point. He has been stealing a lot and seems ok except he called down with a pair of aces/marginal kicker on a scary board.
Can't get my hand to convert? PF folded to SB who raises. Hero 3-bets with A3o. Flop (6 SB): [6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] chek, bet, call Turn (4BB): [4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] check, bet, call River (6BB) [J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] check, check |

Re: New to showing down A hi
after 3-betting, your line seems fine.
I just call these very weak aces preflop as you are pot committed with dominated hands somewaht often when you 3-bet. And I think on this board it would be okay to fold the flop as hero has no b/d draws and only one over. The board is coordinated enough so that villain has more than just the 6 live outs if he's behind and is dominating hero when ahead. |

Re: New to showing down A hi
like A8 or A9o, a bit wider range than that suited roughly, the more the player opens in the sb and the more he shuts down once 3bet or the more honestly he plays the more hands I add to this range.

Re: New to showing down A hi
I raise pre depending on opp, genral i raise A7o+
postflop is standart in pos imho, no reason to chk Turn or bet River once you raised pre well i wouldnt know what do if i just had called pre, what are possible good lines here? I end up calling the Flop and folding the Turn 2 a second barrel most of the Time vs unknown or reasonable opp. |
