Default Top pair no kicker vs river raise.

Sorry for 2 posts at the same time, this will be the last hand I post today, I promise!

Ultimatebet .5/1 6max, villain is 32/0/.34 over 50 hands.

preflop:
Villain open limps on the button, hero calls (shoud I raise?) with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB checks.

flop (3sb): 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets, BB folds, villain calls.

turn (5sb): J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets, villain calls.

river (4.5Bb): 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero bets, villain raises, hero goes 'wtf' and needs 2+2 help: what to do?

You're done, but your read isn't good enough to fold here.

I would have just check/called the river here.

As played, you're getting 7.5:1 and I make a crying call. You're probably beat but there's enough chance villain has suddenly decided he wants to try a bluff, or thinks he can value-bet middle pair against you, depending on your image.

It was one of the first hands on this table, I hadn't done anything crazy, and if he has stats on me/uses such a program they would be somethling like 23/17/2. So my image is OK I guess. Is a loose villain really raising middle pair here, let alone a bluff more than 13% of the time? Also, why would you check/call river? We have top pair vs a likely calling station.

Posting blind: fold. I'm not even going to bother reading the post.

(Ok, so I lied about not reading the rest.)

This is just terrible, fab. However, so is calling Villan's raise...do people really think he's waiting to raise the river with JT? King-high? A busted draw? 50 hands of passive play is plenty to know that he's not a maniac.

Since nobody said anything about preflop I assume completing is standard (I have the best hand pbb, but playing a raised pot OOP would suck hard)?
