NoCal 10-10-20 NL, live. Anybody can kill for $40, making it $80 to come in, which happens about 25% of the time, so the game plays like a 20/40 overall.
Effective stacks are about 4K. I'm in MP, villians are EP, older middle eastern guy, hadn't played with him before, thought he was weak at the beginning of the night (talks a lot and says dumb things) but have come to realize he may not be, he seems to take all the significant pots he plays. May be lucky, not sure. LP is a live one, bluffs too much, lots of variance, more negative than positive. Kill pot, I call $80 with 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5 players see the flop, $400 in pot. Flop 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me, I bet pot, 2 callers referenced above. $1600 in pot. Turn 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. EP immediately bets a very, very strange $400. Monster, blocking bet, just silly, I'm not so sure. I elect to just call. Did this for a few reasons. Didn't anticipate a move on my left, couldn't decide what his bet meant, thought the nut flush draw might be out there, and most importantly, a few hands earlier I made successful $1500 turn bluff to take a big pot when a flush cards appeared, thought my fold equity was low. Then LP makes it $2000, EP gues all in for about $3300 total, about what I have left in front of me. I muck. Anybody think my play was at all redeemable? Poker gods said no, as the river was a red Ace. |

its 3300 back to you but whats in the pot? Hard to tell from your post, looks like 2400+6600=9000? with 2900 back? You need to clarify this.
Looks like EP has a top two, a set, or 910 and LP has same range with maybe a wierd bluff thrown in. Hell, maybe he could easily have 910 too. As long as neither of them have Ax of spades or Q10, and it looks like they don't, the price you're getting may be too good to fold. |

Price was close, about 3-1 after the AI, I mucked because I feared I was drawing to the 8 straight outs, not the flush.
More concerned about the original $400 call; I can't decide if that was a disaster or not. |

given that action i'm pretty sure most or all of your flush outs are good.
i'd put EP on T9 here very often. And, assuming that LP calls, check the odds and figure it out. LP can probably be disregarded. so, yea, i'm optimistic about your outs. price doesnt sound great, but probably good enough. |

i just dont see how you can fold here only b/c the blocking bettor has yet to act.. but i duno how bad he is.. if he's bad enough to call w/ two pair i think you definitly call.

Why would the call be bad? I can't see how thought wouldn't be a reasonable option.

Don't see how you can think Axss is out there really....I think a fold is out of the question. Were u playing above ur roll?

multi way i am definately popping the weak lead. could knock out another Q 10, take the pot down right there, and i don't have to worry about calling if someone pushes.
