Home game - JJ and confused by a min-raise
24 players to start, top 5 get paid. There are 16 players left and there's a mix of solid players and LAGs.
Blinds are at 100/200 Relevant stacks: CO+1 (solid player): ~3200 CO (me): ~4900 Folded to CO+1 (Villain) who min-raises to 400 I look down at JJ and am totally confused by the min-raise, because CO+1 seems like a solid player. I call 400, blinds fold Flop (pot 1100) 7 9 10 rainbow Villain bets 600, Hero calls Turn (pot 2300) 6 completes the rainbow Villain bets 1200, Hero pushes all in, Villain calls Every option went through my head on every street. Looking back, I think I should have pushed the flop. Comments on all streets please. |

Re: Home game - JJ and confused by a min-raise
I don't mind pushing pf, there's already 700 chips in middle and only 3 hands beat us. As played I'd push flop.

Re: Home game - JJ and confused by a min-raise
I agree. The min-raise threw me off preflop, but I should have pushed the flop. As played, would you push the turn like I did?

Re: Home game - JJ and confused by a min-raise
bump.
Any comments on the turn push as played? I was pretty lost. It didn't feel like QQ+, so I put villain on A7, A9, or A10, figuring he was betting to push out any straight draws. |

Push preflop, push flop, push turn.
