Default Line check two hands versus EOX!..1knl

From what I have heard EOX! has a reputation for being a huge NIT. I have regular stats (21/17) and he probally views me as a solid player. I have 3bet him a couple times this session and we checked it down and his JJ took it down to my AK unimproved. So he is defenitely not getting sick of me yet as I havent 3bet him light at all or played back at him much.

Hang on...are these hypothetical hands against said villain or did they both actually happen!?

Hand 1 - insta-fold. There's nothing he'd bet that you beat.

Hand 2 - Close but call turn and see what happens on the river. However, I feel he'd only bet hand this flop and hand if he's got the nuts or damn near close to it. Anything less than 1st/2nd nuts he may check down possibly...?

My thoughts are all over the shop with these hands. Okay, clarification.

My first point is that he doesn't seem as nitty as his stats suggest. However, if you believe him to be a massive nit, then what in the F is he betting the Turn on that deck with that you beat?

If he's betting either of those hands on the turn, he's got you beat in my opinion. Particularly Hand 1. I think the only thing you beat is air. Hand 2 is a little closer but I still think you're drawing to about 2 outs on that turn based on the flop + turn and said opponent.
