Default Dynamic pages edited by user base without a DB back end

Say you have like www.funnylistofXthings.com and you kick it off, and it's funny. People forward it around and you want them to be able to add to the list, but you don't want to create a DB backend. Is there a creative solution for this?

Dunno if this is a *good* solution or not, but it falls under creative :

Use a form that sends the update to an email address. Use a dedicated email address for this and run a script to parse the email and add a line to a file containing the HTML for the list. Use a php include to include the file w/ the list HTML.

that's pretty tight and you might be able to weasel email addresses out of it. It's not a landslide easier and still makes me have to ping a programmer, but I like the idea.
