Default Potential for war with Iran and its Repercussions

Putting a link to this post I made in Politics Forum but it also has to do with effects on the stock market. Here's a link: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...e=0#Post9826355

Of course I am referring to pre-emptive strikes on Iran.

Wars have historically been good for the US stockmarket, which I'm sure GWB knows (or at least he's been told about).

I don't think another war will be the case - especially with the awful situation The US us in regarding its economy buckling under mountains of debt, decreasing value of the $, likelyhood of inflation, not to mention the US military is already spread thinly and the political inertia for another invation of a sovereign country.

However, I expect George will be the man remember as "The President during the start of The Greatest Financial Depression."

Buy Hallibutron (HAL) and Elbit (ESLT).

Check out my postings on these. If you started buying a month ago. You would be up 10% already. But don't worry, once the US really gets off its duff, you may see another 50% on top of this.

Haha, if 2p2 wasn't scam-central, I'd take that bet in size like you wouldn't believe. What politician do you think is going to authorize a strike on Iran seeing as how Bush has gotten skewered over Iraq and we're already overstretched? Do you think Iran wants U.S. troops there? No. Don't believe everything you see on the nightly news friend.

Bush would authorize troop involvment in an instant. It doesn't matter what anybody else says or thinks.

Last time I checked the US constitution, the President is the commander and chief of the armed forces. Like it or not, Bush is going to give Iran the business.

I already loaded up on Halliburton, so instead of complaining about what an idiot the president is, get your money down. At least if you buy defense stocks, you can laugh all the way to your e*trade account log in screen.
