Re: KK RR Allin after his checkraise?
with the presence of the Ks known, you have a little more reason to stay in the hand. Unfortunately, you don't know where the As is. You could have a better draw than the villain, but that is one scary board. You could be up against a set or a super-draw, I have dumped in this spot before. You have any reads on the villain?

Oh, it's a min raise. Probably call and reevaluate.

Re: KK RR Allin after his checkraise?
This is a hand where I don't really mind becoming a station. I would probably call the flop minraise and reeval on the turn. If it is a blank and he bets 1/2 pot as stated, I am calling. then if the river is another blank (hard to imagine many true blanks on this board) I am probably calling a bet, depending on the size of the bet and the villian.

Re: KK RR Allin after his checkraise?
calling the minraise is an attractive option, but i think you need to 3-bet because if you flatcall and hit your flush, you're getting paid off approximately never.

Re: KK RR Allin after his checkraise?
That's true, I think when I do become a station it is because I think my hand has showdown value (obv) and am lookin to get there. Basically, if I call and reeval on the turn I am no longer playing a FD as much as I am playing an overpair on a scary board...that's probably a leak.
I am hesitant to 3 bet since villian's raise is so small. I always feel hesitant to 3 bet when it isn't AI or enough that I am obviously committed. For instance, if we 3 bet to 30 we're leaving ~20 behind. If we do 3 bet we are doing it to get it AI right Future? |
