Default Possible FTP Lag problem \"fix\"

Cather193 posted something in another thread (maybe the FTPDoug 4/2 thread) where he had the lag problem only when he would open the cashier at some point during his session. I tested the theory last night: I did not open the casheir at all during my session and was able to play 10 tables/time for the first time since the new upgrade. About an hour into my session I opened the cashier by mistake, closed it and a short while later my tables began to lag again. I rebooted my PC, started up again and everything was fine once again.

You guys who are having trouble with lag should try this. Maybe it will work for you until FTP finds a cure.

Does anyone have any idea why on earth the Cashier of all things would cause the tables to lag?

Good luck,

HEK

Nice. I'm going to try this right now.

The software is terribly written.

Nice catch.

Not the first time FT has had problems with the cashier. If I open it and then open a table FullTilt crashes, and I have to reboot. Because of this I don't open the cashier, which would explain why I don't have lag problems.

HEK, you might be on to something. In my post about never lagging while 10+ tabling, I never open the cashier window either.

Anbother problem sometimes that causes FTP to crash or lag as well is when your in a tourney and checking your tourney info. This has happen to me serveral times(i forget not to do it) and FTP runs but you cant press any buttons or see your cards.

I thought Party had a patent on disappearing buttons under massive memory growth ... I guess it doesn't extend to disfunctional buttons under massive memory growth.

Do we really have to reboot the pc ? close and relaunch FTP is not enough ? or may be there something we can close in the task manager ?
