WSOP ME Blind Structure -- MAJOR CHANGES

Just saw this today. Sorry if I missed a whole thread on the topic ..... BUT ....

2007 WSOP Main Event Blinds are posted as follows:

Round 1: 50/100
Round 2: 100/200
Round 3: 200/400
Round 4: 200/400/50
Round 5: 300/600/75
Round 6: 400/800/100

This is a big change from the 2006 WSOP Blinds:

Round 1: 25/50
Round 2: 50/100
Round 3: 100/200
Round 4: 100/200/25
Round 5: 150/300/25
Round 6: 200/400/50

Essentially, blinds are double what they were for 2006 level for level. Is this for real? Doubt it's a typo, but with their organization, who can tell?

Anyway, not sure why they'd make such a change.

Starting stacks are also 20k.

I believe they are starting people with 20k as opposed to 10, so its the same structure.

It's the same think Stars did with the 215 essentially.

We had a guy, 1/2 of day 1, opening for 10x everytime he entered a pot, "b/c we have 10k in chips, that the right raise" - he opined, I guess he is opening for 20x this year.... LOL
