Default Solving problems with force?

I made a video around the theme 'solving problems with force'.

Herein I show you the two tools the state has to deal with problems: 1. physical force and 2. the withdrawel of physical force; intervention and non-intervention.

This has created a culture of how problems are viewed in society. People identify problems, and then they quickly reach for their tool: physical violence (creating new laws, regulation and bans, and then enforcing them).

I also show that the state is not about solving problems. When you are interested in solving problems, you want to understand the problem first (which usually means tracing back the causes to it's own intervention). But the state doesn't do that, instead it always reaches for it's golden solution.

You can find the video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaPGctXNaqM

I include a number of examples in there to illustrate.

...and neither do most individuals and collections of individuals that make decisions regarding problems or perceived problems.

I noticed that. I just wasn't 100% sure the guy in the video was you or just someone you knew or something you found.

How come you were so shy in the picture thread?

In any case, I'll have to watch the video completely when I have some time.

No offense, but if you want to make more of these you should really take some public speaking classes or something. If not, you should just stick with the written word, cause that video isn't working.

Do you have anything to say on the content?

Do you have any constructive criticism?

That was constructive criticism. I agreed with what was being said, but the pace was so plodding that I was bored to the point of ripping my hair out and couldn't watch for long. If you want people to listen to what you're saying, you have to make it interesting to listen to. This is constructive criticism.

Or just keep making more of them, and watching others that have good delivery (consuming is as important, if not moreso, than production with regards to improvement).

In other words, practice.

BTW, I actually watched this, which is unusual for me (I can't stand noise coming from the computer in general). Content was excellent, the aesthetics will get there.

True. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
