so my younger (obv) brother turns 19 this week, so my brother, some friends and myself are going to windsor this weekend, which is cool and everything, but he's got it in his mind that it is my personal financial mission to pay for every one of his drinks and lap dances. i never had an older brother to set a precedent (i went to the casino and dropped 3 buyins while my dad slept in the car for my 19th lol)

i figure since we're american, the real alcohol birfday blowout is the 21st, and that's when i'll buy him drink after drink, but for his 19th, i can buy him a brew and we're all good, right?

I'd say, you should buy him drinks for his birthday for sure. Don't be cheap and stop after one. You don't have to get him so drunk he's ready to pass out, but at least 6 or 7 drinks would be fair.

Lap dances on the other hand are a lot more expensive and more of a "luxury item". You could maybe be nice and buy him one, but after that, he's on his own.
