\"Dry\" Flop
What exactly is a "dry flop", can anyone give me some examples. Sorry for the basic question, but I can't find a good explaination of this in the search function. Thanks.

Re: \"Dry\" Flop
a dry board is one that doesn't have a lot of draws available. Q 7 2 rainbow (all different suits) is the canonical example.
contrast with a drawy or "wet" flop, like JT9 monotone (all one suit). |

Re: \"Dry\" Flop
Consider that the hands the average player will play are any ace, two cards ten or higher, suited hands, and connected hands, flops that hereafter I'll call "juicy" would contain:
- any two cards ten or higher - any group of three consecutive cards with at most two gaps (or two cards if they're high, like J9x) - a flush draw (two or three of one suit) - any ace Any flop that isn't "juicy" is a "dry" flop. |
