Default Carnivale

A lot of series are ending, and others are on break so it's sort of a dull period. Is Carnivale worth watching from start to finish, and what are some other series?

I've watched:
Arrested Development,
Stargate (all 300 episodes),
Lost,
Heroes,
Rome...

I have watched the first season of Carnivale...very intruiguing but not much action, certainly a well made show.
Lost is a no brainer.
24?
Prison Break?

I tried getting into 24 but I couldn't. It's too outlandish, with far too many plot holes.

Basically as unrealistic as Rambo is to action,
24 is as unrealistic to espionage.

You tried starting from season 1? Don't judge it based on the current season. This season sucks.

I have not seen series 6 yet.
As far as I am concerned season 1 and 2 are probably the best tv shows EVER.
Series 3 is well below average, season 4 is really bad while season 5 is very good again.

Referring to season 1. Only watched like 6 episodes but everything Jack did made absolutely no sense, and would not happen anywhere but in some lousy script written by writers who have no comprehension of normal human behavior. Lot's of plot holes too.

I think Law and Order is one of the best series ever, personally, even though it does get a bit repetitive.

Carnivale is awesome. IMO one of the top shows HBO has made. Def. underrated and with only 2 seasons you can breeze through it pretty fast. It does move slow but its deliberate and builds the suspense to a fever pitch by the end of season 2.

Carnivale is great! I just wished they could have finished the story. It was written as 4 seasons and only the first 2 were made. They kind of stopped it at a midway point but with enough closure to feel really satisfied. The show is nothing short of outstanding in terms of production, acting and set design.

Right up there with Rome and Deadwood in my book. A must see!

I really liked the first season of 24 and then as I watched the others I just felt I was watching the same recycled garbage
