Default Sopranos Death Pool

We're going to do this in my office, anybody else trying it? Our working rules so far:

Each person picks three characters who they predict will die this season, the episode they believe they'll die in, and the method of their death.

5 pts for each character you picked that dies

10 pt bonus if they dies in the episode you predicted

10 pt bonus if they die via the method you chose

20 pt bonus on top if you get all three correct

Tie breaker: number of times the word "fukc" is used in the final episode.

Please critique these rules, add your own ideas, or tell me other ways to do a Sopranos death pool.

LFS - if you read my thread on Sopranos spoilers for the first two weeks, you can lock one in.

Awesome. I'll give it some thought and submit my picks later. Any prize pool for this (everyone chips in $5 or so?)

bison,

Solid. If there are multiple murderers do you only need to get one of them?

TDA,

We can try and do this here, but frankly I trust my coworkers not to cheat much more than random people on teh intrawebs. I believe that there is already some solid info out there. Maybe we can just exclude the first two episodes.

Yeah, I think 1 is enough. The person has to deliver a potentially fatal blow.

examples:

If Paulie beats the guy up but Tony shoots him, guessing Paulie is wrong.

If Paulie and Tony both shoot the guy, guessing Paulie OR Tony is right.

There are spoilers for the first 2 episodes. Do those murders count?

Slight Hijack,

David Chase is a big Goodfellas fan. Several Goodfellas alums are in The Sopranos, and the opening of every season is taken from the last scene in Goodfellas (Tony getting the paper in his robe). What do you think the likelyhood is that New York goes after Tony, and after much therapy and moral dilemma, he flips? I actually think that could be a plausible ending to the series.

Tony will die of natural causes, most likely heart attack or stroke. His dream sequences in Season 6 so far are him trying to make amends with people and things he has hurt in the past. They also have focused on his weight gain and health problems.

see: http://www.kellybulkeley.com/article...yond_death.htm

"There are certain overarching themes that emerge-going on journeys, reuniting with deceased loved ones, seeing stopped clocks. Often the imagery is straightforward. In one woman's dream, a candle on her hospital windowsill is snuffed out, engulfing her in darkness-a symbol of death that scares her, until the candle spontaneously relights outside the window. A man struggling to find meaning in his life dreams of a square dance in which the partners leave visible traces of their movements, like ribbons weaving a pattern. "There really is a plan after all, isn't there?" the man asked Bulkley after that dream. "Somehow we all belong to one another."

bison,

I need more help. How to deal with a killer who's not a regular cast member? I'm thinking about naming the "known" players and allowing a bonus for them only. Can you think of any way of working a "field" option into the mix?
