Default Need Heath Insurance ASAP

I'm not returning to my college as of today, and my student health insurance runs out on Sunday. My parents live in Brazil, so I have no family plan.

I'm going to be in CA for another week+
Then flying to the East Coast, buying a car, and driving around for <2 months.
Then I'm flying to Europe and Brazil for >1 month.
Finally, in July, I'm moving to Boston.

I need an individual heath insurance plan. Hopefully not too expensive monthly, and emphasizes expensive things like hospitalization / operations.

I've looked around a little, I found a good CA based plan which is like $58/month, and it looks like the MA plans are like $350/month. But I'm an insurance noob, I don't know anything about it.

can anyone help me out?

If you're looking for a plan that really only covers hospitalizations and horrible diaganoses, then a Catastrophic plan is for you and should be pretty cheap.

However, Blue Cross Blue Shield has some great plans and should be very affordable for you, due to your age. I would check out their website and find out information on their different plans (deductibles, co-insurances, etc). Feel free to PM me with any specific question or advice wanted on a specific plan.

I work in the insurance field but am not a broker.
