Default Die record industry, die.

Die.

I love listening to music.

But the record industry really needs to stop with these death throes. They sue stroke victims. They sue deceased persons. They sue families. All of them without evidence. They said the internet should be shut down in 1997. More recently, they said all students should drop out of college because it's a 'filesharing environment'.

way t; but I know if I loss less than 20% of my gross income I'd probably ruin as many lives as I could. Especially if I only made 5 million a year.

LOL @ people who go to the store to buy CD's when they want music.

Seriously.

I was in a Borders looking at poker books and the only people in the music section were old ladies buying religious and classical music.

I have purchased exactly 0 CD's in the past 8 years.

I can't blame the music industry for being mad the CD business is going under, but you can blame them for selling a crappy, overpriced product.

They need to adapt or die.

I'm sure the horse and buggy makers weren't too happy about cars either but deal with it.

I'm glad to see most everyone on the BBV4Life agrees with me.

Looks like I won't even have to mention MAP (my contingency convincing plan).

Then you have no right to complain. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Bet you download plenty through file-sharing, though.

Sure, if you get all your information on new music from TRL or Rolling Stone, or your local Clear Channel affiliate.

There's plenty of good music being released these days. A little browsing beyond the "Hot This Week at Best Buy" endcap rack goes a long way.

Yes, the major labels are a HUGE part of the problem. But so is the general public's total susceptibility to being told what they're supposed to like.
